Florida Real Estate Salesperson - Licensing Requirement

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent.

  • Must take a state approved Salesperson's Pre-Licensing Class (FREC I - 63 Hours)

  • Must pass the Pre-Licensing course exam.

  • Must pass the State-Administered Exam.

  • Notarized application must be submitted and approved by the state.

  • State application fees are $152 (Includes initial license fee).

  • State exam fees are $39.50.

Florida Real Estate Salesperson - Post-Licensing Requirement

  • Must Hold a Current, Valid, Active or Inactive Salesperson's License

  • Must take a state approved Salesperson's Post-Licensing Class (45 Hours), prior to First License Renewal

  • Must pass the Post-Licensing Course Exam.

  • No Exam Fees Required.

  • License Renewal Fees and Renewal Dates Vary.

Florida Real Estate Broker - Pre-Licensing Requirement

  • Must Have Been a Active, Licensed Salesperson for at Least 6 Months to Register for the Course.

  • Must Hold a Current, Valid, Active or Inactive Salesperson's License

  • Must Have Held an Active License with One or More Brokers for at least    12 Months During the Past 5 Years.

  • Must take a state approved Broker Pre-Licensing Class (FREC II - 72 Hours).

  • Must pass the Post-Licensing Course Exam and a State Exam.

  • State Application Fees are $154 (Includes Initial License Fee).

  • State Exam Fee $45.50.

Florida Real Estate Broker - Post-Licensing Requirement

  • Must be a Licensed Real Estate Broker

  • Must take two Broker Post-Licensing Classes (30 Hours Each), before      First License Renewal for a total of 60 Hours.

  • Must pass the Post-Licensing Course Exam(s).

  • No Exam Fees Required.

  • License Renewal Fees and Renewal Dates Vary

Florida RE Salesperson and Broker- Continuing Ed Requirement

  • Must take a state approved Continuing Education Class (14 Hours), either in a classroom setting or via a distance learning course.

  • Taking the distance learning course requires an exam.

  • Distance Learning Course is $25.00.

  • Classroom Course is $75.00 (No Exam Required).

  • License Renewal Fees and Dates Vary.
